Continuous Manual QA Tester for Backend and API-Only European Union!
Manual QA Tester (Part-Time to Full-Time) We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual QA Tester to support the ongoing quality assurance of our software products. In this role, you will play a key part in our development process, collaborating closely with our backend engineering team to ensure the reliability, performance, and functionality of our applications. This position requires a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week, with the option to expand to full-time. We’re looking for a proactive professional who can take ownership of backend QA processes following an initial onboarding period. Please note: Candidates must be located in Europe to ensure effective collaboration within our time zones. Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with the backend development team and product manager to plan and execute weekly sprint activities. - Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings, contributing insights to enhance product quality. - Perform comprehensive manual QA testing across both frontend and backend systems, with a primary emphasis on backend functionality. - Conduct direct API testing using appropriate tools to validate integration and performance. - Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot issues to accurately distinguish between client-side and server-side problems. - Manage and execute testing tasks efficiently within each sprint cycle. - Proactively suggest improvements, raise new tickets, and contribute ideas to elevate overall product quality. Qualifications - Proven experience in manual QA testing, particularly with backend and API testing. - Proficiency in API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger, or similar). - Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and clearly communicate defects and issues. - Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills. - Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. - Availability to work between 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM CET on weekdays. - A continuous learning attitude and commitment to process improvement. Preferred Experience - Hands-on experience with payment system testing. - Familiarity with mobile application testing.
