Compliance Paralegal

Position Summary:
The Compliance Paralegal supports the legal and compliance team by conducting research, preparing documentation, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. This role assists in monitoring company policies, maintaining compliance records, and drafting reports for internal and external audits. The Compliance Paralegal also helps coordinate regulatory filings and communicates with relevant agencies as needed, including managing the organizationâs state licensure applications, renewals, and state reporting requirements.
What you will do:
Compliance Program Coordination and Support:
Prepare regulatory filings, conduct routine audits, and organize documentation for legal reviews
Collaborate with attorneys and business leaders to support compliance initiatives and respond to regulatory inquiries
Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance requirements
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Conduct research and stay updated on relevant state licensure legislation and laws and industry trends
Excellent communication skills are key to performing effectively in this role
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information are essential for success
Oversight and Professional Collaboration:
Report to the Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel
Foster collaboration and alignment with external counsel, vendors, and service providers
Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and professionalism throughout the organization
What you need:
3-5 years of compliance experience, preferably in an in-house or corporate setting
Strong understanding of compliance program elements
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proactive in identifying risks and offering actionable solutions
Ability to treat sensitive information with the highest degree of confidentiality
Demonstrated experience managing compliance projects and processes
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Energetic, proactive, self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment
Impeccable professional ethics, integrity, and judgment
Willingness and ability to travel (10%-20%)
