Tutor Doctor of North Jersey is a boutique tutoring company that is seeking fantastic, caring tutors that can provide academic tutoring and/or academic coaching for key subjects and test preparation for elementary, middle school, high school or college level students: specifically but not limited to all levels of Math, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, English, Writing, Test... Preparation: SAT/ACT. We provide private, customized tutoring and test preparation in the comfort of a family's home, or in a public location in North Western Bergen County, New Jersey area.
Role Description
We are seeking part-time tutors, with subject level expertise, who are passionate about helping students thrive. Assignments located in the local Ridgewood area in and around NW Bergen County, NJ. As a Local Compassionate Tutor at Tutor Doctor of North Jersey, you will be responsible for providing academic support and mentorship to students of various ages and academic levels in the comfort of their homes or at an agreed-upon local public location. Your primary role will be to help students understand coursework, improve their study skills, and develop their academic abilities through communication, positive reinforcement, and encouragement. We provide flexible scheduling, resources, and support.

Qualifications
• A passion for teaching and a desire to help students succeed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A strong academic background and expertise in the relevant subject areas
• Demonstrated experience in educating people of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
• Experience in online tutoring using virtual educational platforms a plus
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Tutoring, or a related field preferred
• Certification in Teaching or Tutoring is a plus
