Community Moderator for AI Weight Loss App (High Empathy, High Reliability) - Contract to Hire
We are hiring a Community Moderator for Weight Loss Buddy (WLB) — a growing mobile app focused on accountability, support, and real human connection around weight loss.
This is not a generic moderation role.
This is about nurturing a supportive environment where people feel safe sharing progress, struggles, and small wins.

What You’ll Be Doing
Reviewing posts and comments inside the app
Responding in a warm, human, encouraging tone, never robotic
Removing spam, inappropriate, or harmful content
Prompting engagement (likes, supportive replies, gentle questions)
Flagging bugs, user confusion, or recurring issues to our team
Helping new users feel welcomed and seen
Ideal Candidate
Strong written English clear, friendly, concise
Naturally empathetic, you understand vulnerable communities.
Experience moderating apps, forums, Discord, or social platforms
Reliable and detail-oriented
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Bonus: Interest in health, wellness, or behavior change

Our users are often discussing weight, habits, and personal goals.
Tone matters more than speed.

Hours & Structure
Part-time (daily check-ins preferred)
