Full Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial HVAC Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Install HVAC Systems: Read blueprints and technical diagrams to install HVAC systems according to design specifications and manufacturer's instructions.
Able to work evenings, nights, some out of town.
Communications: Able to communicate with fellow employees, customers through email, customer software, and/or project management.
Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular maintenance tasks such as replacing filters, lubricating parts, and checking system pressure. Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various HVAC equipment.
Compliance: Ensure HVAC systems and procedures adhere to laws, regulations, and standards. Check electrical wiring, thermostats, and distribution systems for any issues.
Customer Service: Provide high-quality customer service and maintain a professional rapport with clients. Advise clients on energy-saving measures and potential upgrades to their HVAC systems.
Documentation: Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records electronically.
Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
The Ideal Candidate Should Possess
Experience: Proven experience as an HVAC Installer/Technician in a commercial setting.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification or apprenticeship preferred.
Skills: Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical and mechanical systems. Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid HVAC technician license and EPA certification.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
