Commercial and Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney
Rivkin Radler LLP is a law firm seeking an attorney with litigation experience to join their Hackensack office. The role involves conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, collaborating with senior attorneys, and maintaining client relationships in commercial and trusts & estates litigation. Responsibilities Conduct in‑depth legal research and analysis to support litigation matters, including commercial disputes and trusts & estates litigation (e.g., will contests, fiduciary disputes, accounting proceedings, and probate litigation) Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery demands, and settlement agreements Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to develop and execute case strategies Participate in court appearances, hearings, depositions, conferences, and negotiations Establish and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and advocacy, including with fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and business clients Skills Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Active New Jersey State Bar admission Minimum of 1 year of litigation experience, preferably including exposure to: Commercial litigation (contract disputes, partnership disputes, bankruptcy litigation, class actions, securities litigation, consumer protection), and/or Trusts & estates litigation (contested probate matters, discovery under SCPA 2103 proceedings, objections to fiduciary conduct, accounting disputes, or related Surrogate's Court matters) Prior employment at a premier law firm Completion of a federal clerkship Law review or journal experience Exceptional academic credentials Demonstrated excellent writing skills (writing sample required) Proficiency in end‑to‑end case management and a strong understanding of litigation workflow Benefits Medical and dental insurance Group term life insurance Accidental death and dismemberment insurance Long-term disability insurance Optional term life insurance Flexible spending accounts Aflac 401(k) Paid time off Referral bonuses Paid holidays Company Overview Through six offices and 250 lawyers, Rivkin Radler consistently delivers focused and effective legal services.
