About the position The CNA-9S Telemetry position at Ochsner Health System is a part-time role focused on providing basic patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities • Support the plan of care as delegated by the staff nurse within the scope of skills verification. • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the patient care area. • Provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the ages of patients served. • Communicate patient care needs effectively with patients, families, and other staff members, including multi-disciplinary teams. • Complete documentation of patient-related tasks. • Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy and communication style. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements • Current Louisiana Certification as a Nurses' Assistant (CNA). • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association to be obtained within 30 days from hire. • Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification to be obtained within 30 days from hire. • High school diploma or GED.
