Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale data processing systems, developing data pipelines, and troubleshooting potential platform issues. You will work closely with clients to ingest, store, process, analyze, and visualize data on the Google Cloud Platform.

Key Responsibilities:


Design and implement large-scale data processing systems, data pipelines, and data warehouses
Work with clients to ingest, store, process, analyze, and visualize data on the Google Cloud Platform
Troubleshoot potential platform issues and provide technical guidance to clients
Develop and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, test code, and technical presentations
Collaborate with Product Management and Product Engineering to build and drive excellence in our products
Travel up to 15% of the time to client sites to deploy solutions and deliver workshops


Requirements

Essential Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
2 years of experience in data handling programming (e.g., Hadoop, Flash, Pig, Hive) and algorithms (e.g., MapReduce, Flume)
Experience coding in at least one of the following languages: Java, C++, or Python
Active US Government Top Secret/SCI Trusted status


Preferred Qualifications:


Experience working with data warehouses, including data warehouse technical models, framework components, ETL/ELT, and reporting/analytical tools and conditions
Experience with big data, data recovery, data mining, or machine learning
Experience building multi-level high availability applications with modern web technologies (e.g., NoSQL, MongoDB, SparkML, TensorFlow)
Experience architecting, designing, and building web-scale production-grade large data solutions in virtualized environments
Experience managing client-facing projects, troubleshooting clients' technical issues, and working with engineering, sales, services, and clients
