Job DescriptionThe Clinical Informatics Educational Specialist leverages nursing experience with critical thinking and technology to serve as a catalyst for change and the application of technologies that improve the professional development of the healthcare team. This is a hybrid position that is conducive to remote work Responsibilities Maintains competence in the nursing process and nursing practice, relevant regulatory mandates, continuing education accreditation standards, and principles of quality/safety improvement.Proficient in multiple software applications including ability to troubleshoot technical issues as needed. Facilitate educational and communication technology solutions including assessment, planning, training, implementation, and optimization. Actively collaborate with other independent through leaders as the primary interface for information technology to ensure multi- and inter-disciplinary project coordination. Promotes lifelong learning of the healthcare team through: • The utilization of technological solutions • Championing quality/safety improvement initiatives • Using technology solutions to improve professional development opportunities for clinical skills Maintain a knowledge of professional development.Employ evidenced based practices for planning, understanding, guiding, and delivering responsible professional development. Qualifications Education Required: Bachelor's degree. MSN should be obtained within 2 years of hire. Experience Required: Three to five years of nursing experience required Experience Preferred: professional development and/or informatics experience preferred.
