To learn how to apply for a faculty or staff position, please review this tip sheet.The University of Miami Health System (“UHealth”) IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a part-time temporary Clinical Informaticist 2.The Clinical Informaticist 2 - Central manages and enhances clinical applications, ensures optimal system performance, and facilitates effective user training and support. This role involves a blend of technical expertise, project management, and communication skills to drive improvements and ensure compliance with regulations.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:Proficiently manages and supports at least one clinical application.Creates comprehensive end-user documentation, including training materials and reports.Participates in validating operational workflows by defining requirements, specifications, and gaining end-user acceptance.Leads software upgrades and testing, including creating and validating test plans.Coordinates software updates, reviews, and tests each new release, and reports system testing results.Performs periodic checks to ensure accurate data entry and retrieval while adhering to confidentiality and security regulations.Understands change impacts and resistance and develops strategies with stakeholders to address these impacts and build commitment.Provides support for designated application systems and facilitates the design and development of system enhancements.Facilitates database conversions and conducts system analysis.Trains customers on applications, reports, and solutions as required.Manages SLA breaches by meeting with customers to address issues and concerns.Assists user management in setting priorities within the functional area.Adheres to UHealth IT standards.Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in relevant field requiredMinimum 3 years of relevant experience requiredCertification in relevant specialty or fieldLearning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.The University of Miami offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, tuition remission and more.UHealth-University of Miami Health System, South Florida's only university-based health system, provides leading-edge patient care powered by the ground breaking research and medical education at the Miller School of Medicine.
