Civil Engineer

The Civil Engineer will propose solutions to engineering challenges, conduct inspections, and ensure projects meet technical standards while supporting stormwater management design and project analysis.ResponsibilitiesPropose civil engineering solutions to new challenges through on-site construction inspections, monitor progress, and quality assurance to meet state, municipal, and technical standardsComplete primary design elements and ensure projects align with budget and schedule expectations with minimal supervisionConduct design tasks and create sketches, diagrams, and working drawingsPerform calculationsConduct on-site construction inspection for various projects, including roadway reconstruction, storm facility retrofits, and storm pond rehabilitationReview civil plans for designs, erosion and sediment control, drainage design and computations, and floodplain managementAssist with stormwater management design and conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to support project analysis and designComplete drainage design activities, including planning, storm sewer design, and conveyance designSupport plan production and project bids by ensuring alignment with project specifications and regulatory standardsLocal telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per weekSkillsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field of study1 year of experience as a Civil Engineer, Water Resources Engineer, or a related occupationHydrology and hydraulic modeling and principlesCAD software drafting using tools including Autodesk, and/or MicroStationUtilizing general stormwater and drainage modeling toolsMicrosoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPointGIS software applications, including ArcGIS and/or ArcMapStormwater Management DesignDrainage and Floodplain AnalysisConstruction Inspection, Quality Assurance, and Quality ControlPerforming plan reviews, project documentation, and bid preparationMaster's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field of study with no experienceBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionLifeAD&DDisability benefitsPaid time offLeaves of absencesVoluntary benefitsPerksFlexible work optionsWell-being resourcesEmployee assistance programBusiness travel insuranceService recognition awardsRetirement savings planEmployee stock purchase planCompany OverviewAECOM is a global provider of professional technical and management support services to a broad range of markets.
