Would you like to join us? What We Do Good Shepherd Bookkeeping Solutions, LLC (gsbooks.org) is a full-service bookkeeping company that specializes in the unique needs of churches and ministries. Here’s the Opportunity! We are looking for an experienced and skilled bookkeeping professional to join and grow with us. Responsibilities o Provide full service bookkeeping to an assigned group of GSBS ministry clients o Accurately and quickly enter transactions, reconcile accounts, pay bills, and run payroll each month o Work with clients needing clean up and/or build-out work on their financials o Work and communicate well within a team setting to continually WOW our clients with excellence Requirements: o Quickbooks Online Certification o College level business or accounting courses o Demonstrated knowledge of church/nonprofit financial practices with at least two years of experience working for a church or faith-based nonprofit o Demonstrated experience with assessing church and ministry financial statements, reporting on issues, and performing necessary clean up and/or build out work. o Ability to excel in a remote team work environment (candidate must reside in California) Experience o A minimum of two years of work experience in a church or faith-based nonprofit is required o Financial statement assessment skills and experience with cleaning up and/or building out financial statements is required o A financial accounting/bookkeeping background o Proven experience working in Quickbooks Online or Desktop o Experience in cleaning up past financials for churches and ministries preferred.
