You will report directly to our Chief Technology Officer of Industrial Automation (IA) and will work out of our Houston, TX location on a hybrid work schedule.Responsibilities • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the engineering function, ensuring alignment with business objectives. • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive innovation and achieve business objectives. • Manage and optimize engineering resources, budgets, and timelines to enhance efficiency and productivity. • Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.Requirements • 10+ years of experience in technology and product development. • Strong engineering product development practices, processes, and tools. • Demonstrated capability to manage global and complex cross-functional business structures. • Experience in managing technology budgets and resource allocation. • Proficiency in emerging technologies and their application in product development. Nice-to-haves • Bachelor's degree related to technology and/or engineering. • Exceptional leadership and strategic thinking abilities.• Ability to drive on-time delivery of high-impact new product introductions. • Strong understanding of engineering principles, technology trends, and product development processes. • Ability to manage, influence, and negotiate with multiple key stakeholders and executives. • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
