Chief Risk
We are building a next-generation Preventative Health Collective that integrates behavioral data, risk tiering, and catastrophic cost-sharing into a unified ecosystem.
This is NOT traditional insurance.
This is not a innovative healthshare.
We are designing a prevention-first membership model with shared catastrophic pooling mechanics, dynamic risk stratification, and long-term solvency design. We are seeking a highly experienced architect who understands how alternative risk pools are structured, protected, and sustained.
Role Overview
The Chief Risk & Cost Sharing Architect will design and stress-test the financial and regulatory foundation of our cost-sharing model.
This is a strategic architecture role (not an operations or sales position).
You will help design:
• Pool structure and contribution methodology
• Risk stratification and tiered membership logic
• Reserve design and capital buffer strategy
• Stop-loss and reinsurance layering
• TPA selection and claims governance frameworks
• Regulatory positioning across multiple states
• Entity structuring to protect solvency and compliance
• Long-term sustainability modeling
You will work directly with the founder and executive team to harden the system before scale.
Key Responsibilities
Design the underlying financial engine of the cost-sharing pool
Model solvency scenarios under varying claim loads
Identify regulatory landmines and classification risks
Advise on ERISA implications where applicable
Structure relationships with TPAs and stop-loss carriers
Establish reserve and liquidity policies
Provide clear recommendations on compliance guardrails
Stress-test incentive and tiering models to avoid insurance classification
Ideal Background
We are looking for someone who has:
• Designed or architected medical cost-sharing programs
• Structured multi-entity trusts or alternative risk pools
• Experience in self-funded employer plans
• Deep knowledge of stop-loss and reinsurance markets
• Worked with TPAs and non-traditional reimbursement models
• Navigated state regulatory scrutiny
• Strong financial modeling capability
Bonus if you understand:
• Behavioral incentive systems
• Tiered pricing models
• Membership-based ecosystems
• Network marketing compliance considerations
This is an architecture role focused on protecting and strengthening the financial engine.
Structure
• Fractional engagement initially (10–20 hours per week)
• Advisory or contract structure
• Compensation competitive and aligned with scope
• Potential to evolve into long-term strategic leadership
We believe the future of healthcare is prevention-first, community-driven, and structurally sound.
To do that responsibly, the foundation must be engineered correctly from day one. You will be an integral part of that.
