Full time Shift: Evening Shift The LTC Resident Assistant works collaboratively with nursing staff, residents, families, and other members of the healthcare team to provide direct care and supervision to adult and geriatric residents in a long-term care setting. This role supports residents in maintaining independence while ensuring safety and well-being Provide direct care to adult and geriatric LTC residents. Supervise residents requiring assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), offering support as needed. Encourage and facilitate resident independence; ambulate residents who are able and report any difficulties or safety concerns. - Perform Range of Motion (ROM) exercises as directed to maintain resident mobility. Use proper body mechanics and mechanical devices when moving, lifting, or transferring residents to ensure safety. Communicate changes in residents' conditions to appropriate healthcare team members. Adhere to universal precautions and infection control protocols. Promote resident satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and fostering a positive atmosphere.
