Location: Remote (must live within 45 minutes of a major airport), preference to the Salt Lake City, Utah area.
Compensation: $110,000.00 – $125,000.00 annually + Performance-Based Bonuses
Schedule: Full-time, standard work week with travel as required

Summit Health, Safety, and Industrial Hygiene Services (Summit HSIH) is a rapidly growing consulting firm providing high-level Industrial Hygiene (IH) and Safety consulting services to clients across Alaska, the Western U.S., Texas, and slightly interior.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to join our team. This role is dynamic and client-facing, requiring strong technical expertise, proposal development skills, and leadership in managing both projects and staff. The CIH will serve as a key technical lead for IH and safety projects.
This position is 100% remote, with regular travel required for 1–2 days at a time at Client sites which involve flights, as well as occasional longer site visits. Travel requirements are expected to lessen in the near future as we expand our IH staff.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage Industrial Hygiene and Safety proposals, including technical scoping and pricing.
• Direct internal staff and subcontractors on IH and Safety projects.
• Conduct exposure assessments (chemical, physical, and biological) using direct-reading instruments, pumps, and sampling media.
• Deliver clear and defensible technical reports with recommendations mapped to OSHA requirements.
• Interface directly with clients, providing expert consultation and building long-term relationships.
• Step in as needed for general safety consulting projects.
• Ensure strict attention to detail and quality in technical writing, data interpretation, and compliance documentation.
• Maintain flexibility to work on highly variable projects, clients, and environments.
Qualifications
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) qualification is required.
• Advanced degree in Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Toxicology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on IH field and consulting experience.
• Strong technical writing skills and demonstrated ability to prepare defensible reports.
• Proficiency in use of IH instrumentation and sampling methods.
• Ability to travel regularly (1–2 day trips, some extended projects).
• Strong client-facing communication and proposal development experience.
• Should live within 45 minutes of a major airport.
