Cerner IT Application Analyst - HIM
About the position
The Business Systems Analyst supports the implementation of Health Information
Management (HIM) related applications in acute, behavioral health, and inpatient
rehabilitation environments, including but not limited to Cerner Pro File,
Cerner Pro Vision Document Imaging (CPDI), Remote Report Distribution (RRD), 3M,
Clinical Reporting.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Monitors the resolution of maintenance or enhancement issues
ā¢ Works with the HIM team members, Manager, and stakeholders to evaluate the
design and determine modifications to existing applications that will
effectively accomplish desired objectives
ā¢ Collaborates with operations and vendors to understand and assist
implementation of business imperatives
ā¢ Coordinates work assignments given to meet deadlines and ensure continued
progress toward assignment completion
ā¢ Regularly meets with users, vendors, and IS staff to develop/modify system
specifications
ā¢ Performs system testing and prepares appropriate documentation for all phases
of the application development life cycle
ā¢ Research and resolves implementation-related Customer Support Center Tickets
ā¢ Assists with training users for system operation and troubleshooting
ā¢ Maintains Service Excellence principles
ā¢ Keeps up to date on relevant HIM System(s) Version Changes, Bug-Fix, and
release notes
ā¢ Perform other tasks as required by management
Requirements
ā¢ RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator), RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician), CCS (Certified Coding Specialist)
ā¢ Basic knowledge of HIM, registration, revenue cycle and associated clinical
system applications implementation, enhancement and support methods and
practices.
ā¢ Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work
with minimal supervision.
ā¢ Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
ā¢ One or more years of experience in supporting HIM workflow and applications

ā¢ Experience with Remote Report Distribution (RRD), 3M, Cerner Pro File, Cerner
Pro Vision Document Imaging (CPDI), and Clinical Reporting preferred
