The Role: Providing Critical Support During Catastrophe Relief Efforts As a temporary remote CAT Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in our catastrophe relief efforts, providing critical support to customers in need. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a positive impact on the lives of those affected by catastrophes. Your primary responsibilities will include: Delivering positive customer service and technical expertise through prompt, accurate, and courteous responses to customer needs Offering empathy and support to customers during the claim process, ensuring they feel heard and understood Collecting and documenting all claim details provided by the customer into our claim system accurately and efficiently Identifying and resolving customer issues by adhering to client-specific handling instructions and utilizing call scripting to ensure consistency and efficiency Utilizing our account management systems and learning the latest customer service techniques to improve the customer experience Requirements: The Ideal Candidate To succeed in this role, you must possess a unique combination of skills, experience, and personal qualities. The ideal candidate will have: Essential Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills The ability to type swiftly and accurately (40+ words a minute) Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) Basic understanding of Windows operating systems Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality The ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues Must be customer service oriented (empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious) Ability to multi-task, stay focused, and self-manage The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based Must be willing to submit to a background investigation and drug test as part of the onboarding process Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in customer service, claims handling, or a related field Familiarity with call scripting and account management systems Experience working in a remote or hybrid environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Technical Requirements: Working from Home As a remote CAT Customer Service Representative, you will be working from home, and it's essential that you have the necessary equipment and technical setup to perform your duties effectively.
