Key Responsibilities Cashier Responsibilities: Process customer purchases efficiently and accurately Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experience Provide feedback to management on all products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues Participate in taking store inventory counts according to guidelines and monitoring inventory for accuracy Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses Stocker Responsibilities: Stock shelves and rotate product properly to guarantee fresh product is available for the customer Follow merchandising planograms to create excellently merchandised displays Organize new inventory, removes and breaks down empty boxes Operate machinery and follow all safety procedures Physical Demands The physical demands of this role include: Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving; ability to place product, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heights Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: To be 18 years of age or older Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures Excellent verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and within a team environment Effective time management Knowledge of products and services of the company Cashier-specific qualifications include: Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately Compliance with state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages Stocker-specific qualifications include: Ability to operate equipment safely and properly, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler Education and Experience We are looking for individuals with a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior work experience in a retail environment is preferred. A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge is also acceptable. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary of $19.50 per hour, with opportunities for wage increases in subsequent years.
