This role is essential for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing transactions and maintaining product availability on the sales floor. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for retail. Responsibilities Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise. Assist in stocking shelves and ensuring that products are well-organized and displayed according to merchandising standards. Conduct product demonstrations to promote new items and enhance customer engagement. Utilize retail math skills to manage cash handling, including balancing cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts. Upsell products to customers by effectively communicating promotions and special offers. Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support in daily operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Requirements Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Experience with merchandising techniques to enhance product visibility. Bilingual abilities are a plus, allowing for better service to diverse customer bases. Familiarity with phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone is advantageous. A proactive approach to upselling products and promoting store specials. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also taking initiative when necessary.
