About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented Calendar Proofreader to join our team. In this role, you will ensure that our calendars—ranging from daily, monthly, and yearly layouts—are accurate, engaging, and error-free. This includes checking dates, holidays, spelling, punctuation, formatting, and ensuring content aligns with the intended themes. Your sharp eye for detail will help us produce high-quality calendars that are visually pleasing and factually correct.Key ResponsibilitiesProofread and review all calendar content, including text, dates, holidays, and layout for accuracy.Verify the correct placement of holidays, events, and observances across multiple international, regional, or niche calendars.Ensure proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation throughout all content (including captions, titles, and quotes).Fact-check dates, moon phases, and historical events to guarantee accuracy.Collaborate with designers, editors, and project managers to resolve any discrepancies or formatting issues.Cross-reference calendar templates against previous editions or external sources when necessary.Check for consistency in fonts, colors, and formatting across different sections.Maintain and update style guides and holiday lists as required.Skills & QualificationsStrong attention to detail and an ability to spot even the smallest errors.Proficiency in grammar, spelling, and punctuation.Familiarity with calendar layouts and formatting standards.Experience in proofreading (preferably calendars, books, or other print products).Knowledge of major holidays, observances, and moon phases.Comfortable using digital proofing tools and software (Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, or similar).Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.Prior experience in publishing, editorial, or design fields is a plus.Knowledge of design software like Adobe InDesign or Illustrator is a bonus.
