Business Unit CI Sustainability Leader

The Business Unit Sustainability Leader supports the Business Unit or Function in the continued implementation of Continuous Improvement and is responsible for co-developing a series of 100-day plans and supporting plan execution to extend performance improvement beyond initial implementation. Responsibilities • Ensure sustainment of the Continuous Improvement (CI) Management System in each business unit/function. • Deepen the adoption of Continuous Improvement principles, systems, and tools through coaching. • Support post-implementation Sustainability through CI assessments, corrective action planning, and improvement execution. • Drive balanced scorecard performance against targets, including delivery of value creation and value capture initiatives. • Build Continuous Improvement competencies of business leaders. • Identify and improve system-level issues with BU leaders. • Support project budgeting and facilitate special skill acquisition needed for improvements. • Apply a subset of assessment tools regularly and support others in the execution of the Sustainability Assessment. • Customize and refine CI tools for particular issues in BU solution elements. • Coordinate with other CI teams and BU Sustainability Leaders to tailor assessments and procedures. • Drive productivity improvements year-over-year in partnership with BU leaders. • Launch performance improvement projects and post-wave percentage change in operating KPIs. • Participate in the CI community of practice to build CI competencies. Requirements • Previous participation as a Change Agent in a prior deployment is highly preferred. • Strong relationships with BU leaders and front-line colleagues. • Demonstrated track record in managing and influencing people to drive improvement in the business. • Team leadership experience preferred. • Strong knowledge of the 4 CI loops and enabling tools. • Understanding of the principles, systems, and tools that underpin Continuous Improvement. • Effective written and oral communicator.
