Business Development & Marketing Coordinator

They are seeking a Business Development & Marketing Coordinator to support initiatives across budgeting, events, marketing communications, and client development programs, contributing to operational activities and strategic initiatives that enhance the firm’s market presence.ResponsibilitiesAssisting the CGO with invoice processing, including coding, tracking, and liaising with Finance to ensure timely paymentSupporting the CGO, BD managers and Events professionals in monitoring and reviewing budgets, including monthly variance tracking and reportingSupporting the coordination of internal team meetings, schedules, and shared resourcesProviding general administrative support to the national BD & Marketing teamSupporting the execution of client-facing events, seminars, sponsorship activations, and internal programs in the Toronto office, including certain event logistics such as venue bookings, guest lists, RSVPs, and on-site supportAssisting with post-event follow-up, including attendee tracking, reporting, and evaluationSupporting the management of the firm’s promotional item inventory and ordering processes, including vendor liaison, gift selection, distribution logistics and tracking usage, budgets, and inventory levels to ensure efficient program managementAssisting BD leaders in tracking action items, milestones, and deliverables related to practice group and industry group business planning processesConducting light research to support BD initiatives, including client, industry, and competitor insights as neededProviding overflow support for certain marketing and communications activities, including:Website updates (lawyer bios, practice pages, news items, etc.)Emailing marketing campaigns (client alerts, newsletters, event invitations)Social media content coordinationCollateral updates and brand consistency checksSkillsPost-secondary education in marketing, communications, business, or a related field1–3 years of experience in a professional services environment (law firm experience considered an asset)Experience in events, hospitality or an executive assistant function is an assetStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesExcellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracyStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with CRM systems, email marketing platforms, or website CMS tools is an assetA collaborative mindset and a proactive, service-oriented approachBenefitsCompetitive compensation + Extended Health & Dental Care.RRSP Matching Program.Education/tuition allowance.Fitness Reimbursement Program.Diversity and Inclusion Centric Culture.A Culture of Wellness: Cassels recognizes the importance of wellness and provides a comprehensive program that addresses the mental and physical well-being of our employees by providing resources, services, training and support on an ongoing basis.A fully stocked kitchen with healthy snacks, plus coffee, tea, and drinks throughout the year.A business casual dress code (client/day specific).Employee referral bonus.A hybrid work environment.Company OverviewCassels Brock & Blackwell LLP is a Canadian law firm focused on serving the transaction, advocacy, and advisory needs of the country’s most dynamic business sectors.
