As a Business Analyst Intern at StandardAero, you will gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence. We are seeking a Business Analyst Intern to support our Van Nuys, CA site remotely with financial and operational reporting and process documentation improvements, to facilitate successful financial control processes and ensure continuity of operations. This is a 10–12-week, paid internship and part-time basis. Specific Accountabilities: • Assist with creating and validating financial and operational reports, including drill downs by product line • Assist with creating and validating Power BI reports from varying database tables • Assist with process documentation and process/reporting improvements • Assist with data collection as assigned to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures • Assist in various other reports and summaries as needed • Performs other related duties as required Requirements: • Candidates should be pursuing a degree in mathematics, data science, finance, business administration, or related field and currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or with equivalent background • Knowledge of basic accounting principles • Familiarity with basic accounting software or accounting spreadsheets • Skilled in the use of MS Office, specifically Excel functions and formulas • Demonstrated ability to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in written format • Strong planning and organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and a focus on delivery • Self-directed, results-oriented, and flexible • Works well under pressure and adheres to tight deadlines • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Characteristics: • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, primarily Excel and Power BI • Familiarity with Oracle systems • Familiarity with data analytics and business intelligence programs • Familiarity with database tables and coding (SQL tables, VBA, Excel Macros, Python, etc.)
