Bookkeeping Associate
Description:
• This is a remote position.
• We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to assist with bookkeeping, financial reporting, and accounts reconciliation.
• In this role, you will be responsible for managing expenses, tracking income, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate financial records.
• You will also collaborate with the finance team to maintain compliance and support payroll processing.
• Strong communication skills, proficiency in accounting principles, and experience with desktop accounting software are essential.
• Core Tasks:
• Assist with monthly and quarterly bookkeeping and reporting
• Create and provide custom/ad-hoc reporting, including budget-to-actual reports
• Manage outreach to suppliers/vendors to facilitate on-time payment
• Properly book and manage expenses and income for accurate reporting
• Reconcile accounts, including bank and credit card statements, to ensure accuracy
• Assist in preparing financial statements and maintaining general ledger accounts
• Track and resolve discrepancies in accounts receivable / payable
• Support payroll processing and related compliance documentation
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with company policies
• Assist with other projects as needed.
Requirements:
• 3+ years experience in an AR/AP or junior accounting role
• 2+ years experience with any desktop accounting software
• Proficient knowledge of accounting / accounting reporting principles
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Intermediate skills in Excel / Google Sheets
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Professional home office or shared work setting
• Ability to work EST (with flexibility)
