Bookkeeper - Medical Billing

This is a remote position.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper with a strong background in medical billing to join our team.
Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
Process medical claims and ensure accurate medical billing and coding.
Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions.
Generate financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
Manage payroll processing and tax filings.
Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations and insurance requirements.
Assist with budgeting and financial planning.
Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and other stakeholders regarding billing inquiries.
Perform general bookkeeping duties, including invoicing and payment processing.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting.
Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures, insurance claims, and coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and medical billing software.
Understanding of HIPAA compliance and healthcare financial regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper, Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist) are a plus.
