About the position
Capitol Imaging Services, LLC. has been in business since 1973 and is currently seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Billing Specialist to join our team. This position is crucial to our commitment to quality care and patient satisfaction, as every member of our staff plays a vital role in a patient's journey toward healing. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for medical billing and payment posting, ensuring that all patient demographic entries are accurate and that coding, including diagnosis and CPT codes, is correct at the time of billing. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can verify and reconcile all copays, co-insurances, and deductibles on a daily basis. Additionally, the Billing Specialist will research and resolve any missing charges or data in collaboration with Imaging Center Managers and follow up on outstanding accounts with insurance carriers and patients. This is a full-time remote position with a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, offering competitive salary and benefits.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for medical billing and payment posting.

• Enter patient demographics accurately.
,
• Ensure coding, including diagnosis and CPT codes, is accurate at the time of billing.

• Verify and reconcile all copays, co-insurances, and deductibles daily.

• Research and resolve any missing charges or data with Imaging Center Managers.

• Follow up on outstanding accounts with insurance carriers and patients.

• Perform other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a medical biller and collector in an Imaging/Radiology practice.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
,
• Minimum of 4 years' experience as a medical biller/collector.
,
• CPC Coder Certification preferred.
,
• Medisoft billing software experience is a plus.
,
• Professional references required.
,
• Working knowledge of Imaging/Radiology billing practice, CPT codes, and ICD10s.
,
• Strong knowledge of payer guidelines and reimbursement policies.
,
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
,
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

• Ability to organize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.
