This role is fully virtual and supports children, adolescents, and their families through telehealth while working closely with pediatric primary care providers, behavioral health teams, and psychiatric consultants. The psychotherapist focuses on delivering short-term interventions, engaging caregivers as clinically appropriate, coordinating care, monitoring patient progress, and supporting group-based behavioral health programming.Key Responsibilities:Collaborative Care DeliveryProvide brief, structured psychotherapy services through telehealth for pediatric patients referred by pediatric primary careConduct behavioral health assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with pediatric primary care providers, psychiatric consultants, patients, and caregivers as appropriateDeliver evidence-based interventions focused on symptom reduction, emotional regulation, behavioral functioning, and improved daily functioning within a short-term treatment frameworkMonitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicatedParticipate in regular case review with psychiatric consultants to support treatment planning and medication recommendations for referring providersParticipate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborative case discussionsCare Coordination and Population ManagementManage a panel of pediatric patients receiving collaborative care services and track progress and follow-up needsCoordinate care between pediatric primary care providers, behavioral health teams, schools, community resources, and specialty behavioral health services when clinically appropriateSupport referrals to traditional behavioral health services or higher levels of care when neededProvide follow-up contacts and bridge appointments as needed to support continuity of care, family engagement, and treatment adherenceIntegration with Pediatric Primary Care TeamsCollaborate closely with pediatric primary care providers and clinic staff to support integrated behavioral health careProvide behavioral health guidance to pediatric primary care teams when appropriateGroup FacilitationParticipate in the rotation of facilitating Behavioral Health Integration (BHI) therapeutic groups delivered virtually, including groups tailored to youth or caregivers as neededDocumentation and Quality ImprovementMaintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record in accordance with organizational standardsTrack patient outcomes and support reporting and quality improvement initiatives associated with collaborative care servicesContribute to ongoing program improvement efforts related to access, patient engagement, clinical outcomes, and family-centered care Preferred QualificationsExperience working with children, adolescents, and families in outpatient or integrated care settingsExperience working in pediatric integrated careFamiliarity with collaborative care or population-based behavioral health modelsExperience delivering psychotherapy and group interventions through telehealth platformsSkills and CompetenciesAbility to deliver brief, focused psychotherapy to children and adolescents within a collaborative care environmentStrong skills in family engagement and caregiver collaborationStrong collaboration skills when working with multidisciplinary healthcare teamsEffective clinical assessment and treatment planning abilities for pediatric populationsStrong organizational skills for managing a patient panel and tracking outcomesComfort facilitating structured therapeutic groups in a virtual formatWork EnvironmentThis is a fully remote/virtual position. All patient visits and group sessions are conducted through telehealth, and collaboration with care teams occurs through virtual meetings and electronic health record communication. The psychotherapist works closely with pediatric primary care clinics and behavioral health teams while operating remotely.
