Beauty Editor, Hypebae

Established in 2016, Hypebae is a leading female online destination that empowers our next-gen creatives by navigating today’s emerging youth culture with stimulating, organic narratives. Standing at the intersection of fashion and creative dialogue, Hypebae shares its distinctive vision, and provides impactful insights on the dynamic face of emerging youth culture. Responsibilities: Oversee the curation of daily beauty news and features on the beauty vertical of Hypebae, alongside creating social-first content for Hypebae's social media platforms.Source, write, edit and publish all necessary beauty content, ensuring it meets our editorial standards, mission and vision.Ensure that beauty content represents the brand correctly and with integrity.Brainstorm, plan and execute new beauty series, social formats and original content that will engage both existing and new readers. Requirements: Have a strong knowledge of beauty, skincare, haircare and be clued up on all things new and emerging in the beauty space.Have at least four years of experience creating editorial beauty content.Have vlogging and/or social media experience (and the ability to shoot and edit vlog-style social content).Knowledge of Hypebae content on a local and international level.Understand that beauty is more than lotions and potions: it is about identity. And that great beauty content is about having original and engaging ways to celebrate that in ways that allow our readers to feel seen and represented. The expected annual base salary range for this role is between $60,000 to $65,000. The salary range is subject to change and may be amended in the future. Experience, education, relevant skill set, location and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.
