The Bankruptcy Representative I oversees the handling of bankruptcy processes on assigned loans and ensures compliance with various guidelines and regulations.ResponsibilitiesMonitor activity on bankruptcy files to protect the organization and client’s interest on loans impaired by bankruptcy filingMonitor assigned loans to ensure all activities are handled within departmental and regulatory guidelines and timeframesEnsure proof of claim is filed correctly and that an acceptable plan is entered and approved within required guidelinesProcess cash; pay attorney and vendor invoicesResearch and respond to debtor and investor inquiries timely and accuratelyProcess file when a bankruptcy has been reinstatedMonitor all aspects of the outsourcing firm and report performance/issues to managementCoordinate with the outsourcing firm to ensure all information necessary to conduct the bankruptcy action is receivedMonitor and maintain bankruptcy reports to ensure compliance with departmental and regulatory guidelinesKeep bankruptcy screens updated accurately and timelySuccessfully complete annual regulatory compliance trainingAnswer inbound bankruptcy calls according to proceduresProcess payment by phones paymentsProvide fax, email, and mail address to borrowers, third parties when applicableTransfer calls to bankruptcy processor, Team Lead or Supervisor when applicableReview bankruptcy notifications and set up bankruptcy workstation in MSP where applicableUpload required documentsEmail firms and internal contacts to validate foreclosure salesReview dockets, action issuesPerform data entry functions as defined by departmental processes and proceduresFile GSE claims timely, confirming fees have been movedPrepare 2130 forms and 2650 forms following through to completionSkillsHigh School or equivalent combination of education and experienceSolid PC skills, proficient with Microsoft applicationsAnalytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to handle complex, multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentEffective verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to always interact in a positive and professional manner with all levels of both internal and external audiencesMortgage servicing or originating experienceBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision, Wellness, Flexible Spending Account, and Employee Assistance Program and more.Employer paid Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability.401 (K) Plan with company matchPaid Vacation, Sick, Personal and HolidaysCompany OverviewDovenmuehle Mortgage, Inc.
