Bad Debt Medical Collector

Position Summary:

Job Duties:
Ā Communicate with consumers via telephone on an inbound and outbound dialing system.
Ā Manage multiple accounts to resolve consumer account balances.
Ā Demonstrate superior customer service skills, patience, and diligence with each account.
Ā Provide consistent follow-up with consumers.
Ā Collect full balances or negotiate highest possible payment arrangements with consumers.
Ā Keep detailed records of all consumer communications and payment arrangements.
Ā Use automated dialing technology as well as manual calling methods.
Ā Process immediate payments establish recurring payments and follow specific scripting for PCI compliance.
Ā Meet and/or exceed monthly financial goals.
Knowledge and Skills:
Ā Demonstrated skill in negotiating and resolving conflicts.
Ā Ability to speak persuasively and listen critically.
Ā Prioritize multiple tasks demonstrating a high level of detail while providing excellent customer service, problem solving, critical thinking and superior communication skills.
Ā Must be friendly and outgoing.
Ā Must possess strong computer skills.
Ā Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Ā Must be reliable, responsible, goal-oriented, and flexible.
Ā Must be able to pass pre-employment screening.
Ā Bilingual proficiency in Spanish a plus.
Requirements:
Ā Must have at least 1 year of experience in bad debt collections
Ā Must work in the office daily due to various state collection licensing laws
Ā High school diploma or equivalent
