Bad Debt Collector - Lead (Remote)
Job description:

Schedule corresponds with PST:
Monday - Friday Schedule with an alternating schedule of 5:00 am -2:00 pm PST, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PST and 10:00 am - 7:00 pm PST and 1 Saturday a month.
The following is required for the position:
- High speed internet connection (no Wi-Fi)
- A private and quiet workplace in your home where you can work without background noise
- A laptop with an extra monitor OR desktop computer with dual monitors (No MacBooks, Chromebooks or Tablets)
- Basic headset or earbuds
- A webcam for trainings and meetings
Hourly pay depending on experience plus monthly bonuses!
GENERAL SUMMARY
Provides leadership and mentorship to collectors by complying with all department and company policies and procedures. Individually collects accounts receivable for major hospital clientele. Places and receives outbound and inbound telephone calls and accurately documents all information pertaining to client’s account utilizing PC based collection system and call center auto dialer. Supports Collection Supervisor and Collection Manager and performs special projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads by example in motivating collectors to perform effectively and efficiently:
o Collects accounts in a professional and consistent manner.
o Operates a PC, telephone, and basic collection system programs.
o Accurately records all telephone conversations in collection system.
o Performs skip tracing.
o Maintains compliance with FDCPA, FCRA, and HIPAA.
o Adheres to all state and federal regulations regarding collection procedures
o Follows policies and procedures to maintain workflow standards.
Assists the collection supervisor and the collection manager.
Performs special projects.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, & ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Has successfully completed 1 year as a Collector II or III or possess 3 – 4 years outside collection experience, including 1 year as a lead.
Is highly organized, possess excellent oral and written communications skills, meets deadlines.
Has basic experience utilizing an auto-dialer system.
Possesses professional telephone demeanor and appearance.
Interacts successfully with all levels of management.
Responds positively to direction and supervision.
Demonstrates the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Has the ability to keyboard 30 wpm.
Physical ability to sit at a workstation for 2 hours without interruption.
Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must successfully pass a criminal history screening.
