Back-End Python Developer as part of a Data Engineering Team responsible for developing APIs for a Data Visualization Tool.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Pay: $65 - $70/hr W2

Responsibilities:
Hands-on Back-End Python Developer to help build a highly customized data visualization tool. You'll contribute directly to core API and infrastructure work, collaborating with a strong technical team.

Experience Requirements:
• Strong proficiency in Python with deep understanding of core language fundamentals
• Production experience building APIs using FastAPI (and similar modern Python frameworks)
• Solid experience with RESTful API development and backend service design
• Comfortable interacting with and writing queries for Azure SQL, Snowflake, or similar databases
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS; Azure is a major plus
• Ability to build secure API integrations and manage data flow between backend and frontend
• Exposure to medallion architecture or layered data modeling approaches
• Knowledge of agile software development methodologies and team-based collaboration
• Experience working with or around data engineering workflows and tooling (PySpark, Databricks a plus)
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization skills for backend services
• Ability to write backend services that operate independently and handle production workloads
• Comfort explaining the structure and flow of your code and architecture decisions

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent preferred.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
