We have an opening for an Azure Cloud/Platform Engineer with our direct client in Milwaukee, WI. • Not considering C2C candidates. • Location: Milwaukee. (hybrid, 2 days remote) • Duration: to end of 2026 with potential for extensions Summary of Projects: • High-visibility, business-driven projects involving Azure components (e.g., Azure AI Search integration, transitioning an on-prem web application to an off-network environment). • Enhancing our platform as a product by automating various aspects to support application delivery teams within a growing and evolving organization. Position Summary: The Contract Cloud/Platform Engineer will focus on automation, contributing to the design and implementation of critical Azure cloud infrastructure solutions. This role requires technical expertise in tools such as Terraform and PowerShell. While our environment primarily utilizes Microsoft technologies, experience with Terraform and familiarity with AWS or GCP is also valuable. This position collaborates closely with IT Operations and Development Teams to ensure the cloud platform remains efficient, scalable, and secure. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Infrastructure Design and Implementation • Design, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure solutions. • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform to create and manage Azure resources. • Automate cloud resource monitoring, scaling, and management. • Develop and deploy Azure cloud infrastructure modules to meet business and technical requirements. • Maintain and enhance Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines. Collaboration and Support • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business and technical requirements into automated cloud solutions. • Provide guidance on Azure best practices and automation techniques. • Offer training and support to internal teams and stakeholders as needed. • Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented work environment. Preferred Qualifications: • Strong understanding of Azure services and architecture. • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell. • Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Azure Bicep, Ansible). • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and tools. • Strong problem-solving abilities with experience troubleshooting complex issues. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Minimum three years of experience designing, implementing, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure. • At least two years of hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform. Additional Skills (Nice to Have): • Experience with software development platforms (e.g., Microsoft DevOps, GitHub). • Understanding of infrastructure as code concepts (e.g., Terraform, Azure Resource Manager). • Familiarity with cloud deployment, monitoring, and security best practices. This range is subject to change based on job-related factors, including client requirements where applicable.
