Primary Job Duties:This is a full-time position in Denver.As the Automotive Ground Service Mechanic, you will be a vital part of the operation as you maintain SkyWest ground equipment and support ramp personnel to promote safety and on time arrivals/departures.
Efficiently and thoroughly troubleshoot and repair various equipment, including tugs, belt loaders, pickups, deicing equipment, push back tugs, bag carts, electric vehicles, etc.
Travel to different SkyWest ground handled cities to repair various equipment
Prep and paint equipment
Complete ramp checks as needed
Help train apprentices when needed
Perform other tasks as assigned

One year automotive/ground service equipment related experience or training
Positive attitude, are self-motivated, are a quick learner, are a team player, and are Safety and detailed oriented
Can work independently
Work nights, early morning, weekends, holidays, extended shifts, and rotating shifts
Work in an outdoor environment in inclement weather
Possess a valid unrestricted state-issued driver's license
Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
SkyWest Automotive Ground Service Mechanics are required to maintain a Basic Tool Set as outlined below. Tool allowances are available to assist in reaching and maintaining this set.
Standard Sockets: ΒΌβ, 3/8β, and Β½β drive with ratchets and extensions must range from ΒΌβ to 1 1/4β deep and shallow
Metric Sockets: must range from 8mm - 19 mm deep and shallow
Standard Wrenches: standard ΒΌβ to 1 ΒΌβ
Metric Wrenches: 8mm -19 mm
Allen Wrenches: standard and metric
Screwdrivers: Phillips, Flat Head, and Torx
Pliers: Standard and needle nose pliers, and channel locks
Impact Gun and Sockets: Pneumatic 1/2β and 3/8β
Pry bars (variety of lengths)
Automotive meter (fluke) with hertz capability
Wire cutters, wire strippers, and wire crimpers
Hammer
Tool box and travel case
Preferred Skills:
ASE Certifications in brakes, steering and suspension, electrical and diesel engines
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
Automotive Schooling
Physical and Other Requirements:
Travel as needed-multiple day trips and overnights (Flying and Driving)
Ability to lift 60+ pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
18 yearsof age or older
This is a full-time position, starting at $20.50 an hour
