Author looking for an illustrator with a whimsical watercolor style
I need someone to illustrate a 44 page whimsical rhyming book that has 22 illustrations and a cover illustration. These will include a main character that is seen 12-15 times and needs to be consistent while changing positions, clothing, hair style and expression; also a second character that will be seen 3 times with same requirements; and 7 other characters that will be seen only one time each. There will be minimal scenery around the main focus. For example, there might be an overstuffed chair with ottoman and a pair of socks underneath with a phone tucked into the cushion. The background is blank except for a thermostat on the wall above the chair. No need for wallpaper, plants, or other decor to indicate a room. Sometimes, the main character will be sitting in that same chair. I am looking for a whimsical cartoon style with thin lines. The best way I can think to describe it is Dr. Seuss people (not creatures) meet Quentin Blake and that still isn't quite right. I do have a couple AI created examples to share to help define it better but I do not want an AI illustrated book as it cannot duplicate effectively and accurately. I would like this to be complete within 6 weeks of hire date if possible. I am an independent author. I do not have a team. I am very flexible and easy going. I do have a definite idea of what I want my illustrations to look like but am open to suggestions and may very well find that your vision makes it even better!
