This enables them to contribute effectively towards our AI research, corporate operations and product initiatives.About the RoleAs an Audiovisual (AV) Engineer at OpenAI you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing and ensuring the availability, reliability, and exceptional ease-of use of our conference room audio visual and video conferencing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expert-level experience in audiovisual design, programming and implementation of enterprise AV systems and moderate but demonstrable networking and general IT capabilities.This is a hybrid role and will require 3 days a week in our San Francisco office.In this role, you will:Develop and manage the ongoing improvement of conference room audio visual and video conferencing (AV/VC) design and build standardsOversee AV/VC design and build process for new global office build outsManage and produce CAD packages including standards, construction sets and proposalsManage programming and commissioning of our AV spacesDesign AV systems ranging from conference rooms, to premier event spaces.Develop next generation AV workflows and processesDevelop and manage integrations between AV and IT systemsTroubleshoot and repair conference room AV systemsWork closely with ITAV Events and Upkeep to refine standards and systems to fit business needLifecycle management for conference room AV/VC technologyImplement and maintain global AV break/fix service plansMaintain knowledge on latest industry trends in AV/VCYou might thrive in this role if you have:8+ years experience in design, installation, and troubleshooting of enterprise AV including direct experience implementing and using Google meet, Logitech and Cisco video conferencing hardwareProven experience managing global AV office deployments of over 300 av spacesDemonstrable CAD (Revit, AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Visio) drawing package production experienceEvent space design and commissioning experience with production equipment like Vizrt, Analog Way, Yamaha, Panasonic, QSYS, NDI, Dante, SRT, Ross, ST2110, Madi, etc..AV Scripting experience (Lua, Appscript, Python)Expert with video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Meet, Teams)Experience developing RFPs (Request for Proposal) for AV integration vendors and managing the bid/build processExperience migrating VC software platformsExperience with enterprise networking technologies and architecturesExperience with wayfinding and conference room booking hardware and softwareDeep understanding of AV over IP (ST 2110, HDBaseT, Dante, NDI) and how to deploy it safely in a corporate network environmentExperience with IT ticketing systems and maintaining support SLAsAbout OpenAIOpenAI is an AI research and deployment company dedicated to ensuring that general-purpose artificial intelligence benefits all of humanity.
