Audio Video Field Service Engineer

Daktronics is a company that designs, engineers, manufactures, and supports digital LED display technology and audio systems. They are seeking an Audio Video Field Service Engineer to provide technical support, installation, and maintenance services for their equipment at customer sites, as well as remote technical assistance. The role requires flexibility with scheduling, including nights and weekends, to meet customer needs.ResponsibilitiesProviding service, installation, or support during an event at a customer siteProviding on-site technical and maintenance services for Control Systems and Display SystemsLeveraging your knowledge by training our Service PartnersRegularly participating in technical training on new and different products and systems to advance your technical knowledge to support Daktronics CustomersActively creating and updating knowledge base articles for internal/external usePerform other duties as assigned or needed to support the efforts of DaktronicsProviding technical over-the-phone support to internal and external customersResponding to customers’ request for technical support primarily through incoming and proactive outbound callsProviding software application installation/configuration support along with “how-to” assistanceTroubleshooting and solving basic to sophisticated hardware and software technical issuesSkillsMinimum of an associate degree plus relevant experienceMust be able to communicate effectively in a variety of settingsPositively and professionally able to work in stressful situationsShow personal commitment to continuously improveDisplay a can-do attitude in good and bad timesEffectively exercise discretion and independent judgmentStrong computer skills: Internet navigation, word processing, spreadsheets, and Daktronics internal programsWork effectively as a team member assisting when and where neededComfortable working from a home office locationMust be able to get a passportAble to work at heights or from a ladder and able to carry ladder/tools/parts from vehicle to work siteAbility to lift, carry, and move up to 45 poundsAbility to work in a variety of environments, including cold/hot weather, small spacesMust be able to work nights and weekends based on pre-determined business needThe selected individual must be able to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy to begin and maintain employmentFluent in English, written and verbalApplicants must be 18 years of age or olderDaktronics does not sponsor, renew, or extend immigration visas for this positionBachelor's degree preferredPreferred majors include Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, A/V Broadcast, or similar programWill consider non-technical bachelor's degree if applicant also has previous experience demonstrating technical learning abilityBenefitsFinancial relocation assistanceCompany OverviewDaktronics is globally recognized for designing, engineering, and manufacturing advanced digital LED display technology and audio systems.
