Aston Carter Senior Payroll Accountant (100% Remote) in Dallas, Texas

Job Title: Senior Payroll Accounting Consultant Pay: $45hr- $48hr (paid weekly- 40hrs) Location: 100% Remote Interview & Start ASAP Engagement: 3-6 months (would hire or extend an individual who is performing) GREAT COMPANY TO GET IN WITH!!! Job Duties: • Responsible for payroll and benefits accounting, analysis, and reporting. • Responsible for ensuring payroll and benefits transactions are accurate, appropriately booked, and reconciled. • Manage month-end/quarter end close. • Analyze monthly P&L and Balance sheet activity. • Create and post journal entries for general, payroll, and benefits accounting. • Perform month end balance sheet reconciliations inside of Blackline. • Ensure monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts are accurate, submitted in a timely fashion, and fully supported with proper documentation. • Complete monthly tie outs for balance sheet movement as well as maintain commentary on balance sheet/income statement flux. • Manage tight deadlines for close and reporting purposes. • Document/update processes and continue to look for new ways to improve accurate and efficient practices. • Collaborate with external/internal auditors and tax. • Train backup personnel within the department to ensure responsibilities are dually covered. • Be backup for other positions from time to time as part of job enhancement and business need. • Ad hoc projects and task as required.
