Job Description Infosys is seeking an Associate SAP MM Consultant This position will be a key player in engaging with business/functional team in providing best fit solutions while conforming to client’s and Infosys standards. You will also support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape. Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider one year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education. • At least 2 years of experience in Information Technology • Location for this position is Austin, TX. This position requires relocating to project/Client's location. • Candidates authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply. Preferred Qualifications • At least 2 years of experience in SAP projects, including 2 years experience in full-life cycle implementation projects in SAP MM. • Able to analyze business requirements, providing conceptual and detail design to meet business needs, performing necessary SAP configurations, writing detail specifications for development of ABAP custom programs, testing and implementing the automated solution • Strong hands-on experience in Logistics Execution, EDI/Idoc Integration and system integration areas. • Knowledge and hands-on experience of B2b Integration and system to system integration of SAP through EDI/IDOC and other interface methods is essential • Extensive knowledge of SAP custom application programs, enhancements, BADIs/BAPIs, interfaces and user exits is essential • Experience in Master data related projects and Enterprise Portal is desirable • Ability to read ABAP codes is required. • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, Analytical and Communication skills. • Experience with project management is desired and expected to possess planning and coordination skills • Writing of functional/technical specifications for ABAP custom solutions and interfaces. • Experience with in Logistics execution • Working with the business users to define scope and gather business requirements • Testing and rollout of the final product • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work on multiple projects simultaneously • Be skilled in working with cross-functional teams • Analytical and Communication skills • Planning and Co-ordination skills. The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
