Associate Payroll Tax Accountant - Entry Level
Description:Prepare company payroll tax returns by examining accounts and computing tax returns according to prescribed rates, laws, and regulations
Analyze payment records, adhere to due date requirements
Communicate tax law changes to system administrators
Respond timely to tax notices
Prepare tax registration forms
Prepare business transfer paperwork for mergers and acquisitions
Write letters of abatement andor call taxing authorities
Track and collect refunds from jurisdictions
Participate in and support process improvements.
Work independently or as part of a team

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
Ability to learn quickly and meet deadlines in a fast pace high volume industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to understand tax laws related to payroll tax filings
Proficiency with Excel
Ability to work overtime as needed
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Experience in payroll and/or payroll tax preparation
Experience with other software such as PeopleSoft, SAP, Access, and payroll tax research tools such as CCH

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
