Associate Merchandiser - House Brands

We’re hiring an Associate Merchandiser to serve as the primary steward of our owned labels, ensuring every seasonal drop is on-brand, on-time, and built for the field. This is an entrepreneurial seat for a merchant who lives for the "white space"- finding that perfect, missing piece of the puzzle, and has the analytical chops to turn a great idea into a high-performing brand.Working closely with the Director of House Brand Merchandising, you’ll be the glue between Design, Marketing, and Planning, treating these brands like your own startup and obsessing over the details that turn customers into lifelong fans.This role is based out of our headquarters in Austin, TX; relocation support will be provided to a remote hire.ResponsibilitiesOwn brand strategy and buying across all categories for Wills, Luca, and AstorflexDrive the Long Range Plan (LRP), line plan, and product briefs for assigned brandsSupport senior merchants on assortment decisions and product development prioritiesServe as direct partner to Design, Product Development, Channels, and Marketing teamsDevelop seasonal assortment strategies aligned with brand vision and business goalsManage the product lifecycle from brief through delivery, including sample review and line approvalCollaborate with planning on receipt management, inventory, and financial targetsIdentify white space opportunities and present recommendations to the broader merchant teamRequirements2–4 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or product development — ideally in apparel, footwear, or lifestyle brandsExperience owning or supporting a brand assortment with strong commercial instinctsAbility to build and manage line plans, product briefs, and LRPsStrong cross-functional communicator — comfortable partnering with Design, PD, Marketing, and ChannelsHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple brand calendars and deadlines simultaneouslyDeep curiosity and passion for brand storytelling and productExperience with inventory management and financial planning tools is a plusPassion for Huckberry’s brand and the outdoor/lifestyle spaceBenefits Medical, Dental, Vision benefits 401(k) and employer match Annual Huckberry shopping credits Paid Sabbatical leave at 4 years Summer Fridays Weekly catered lunch Monthly happy hours Mental health resources Paid Parental Leave Paid Vacation & Paid Sick Leave Volunteer Time Off Generous employee discount WFH flexibility Annual offsites Company DescriptionHuckberry is the ultimate one-stop men's shop for discovering the best gear and threads.
