Remote Full-time
About the position

The Office of Foundation Relations works collaboratively with colleagues across Johns Hopkins University and Medicine to establish long-term partnerships, strengthen existing relationships, and initiate new contacts with major private foundations.

The Associate Director, Foundation Relations will support and execute a highly strategic approach to securing major foundation support, especially for faculty engaged in current and emerging research with a nationally and internationally competitive edge, and for institutional priority programs related to the University and its community.

Work closely and effectively with faculty to develop and prepare concepts, letters of inquiry, proposals, and, when appropriate, grant reports

Manage strategic stewardship of major funders, including presidential annual reports, visits, and site visits, as appropriate
Ensure comprehensive coverage and dissemination of foundation news relevant to the University and its community interests
In consultation with the Director, help develop and deliver presentations for faculty and Development colleagues to increase knowledge about independent foundation funding, build capabilities for foundation grant-seeking among faculty, and foster new sources of support.
Other duties as assigned.
