As a core member of our awesome legal team, you will work with our General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel and be expected to accelerate our velocity by working with the business to efficiently and proactively identify ways to increase opportunity, mitigate risk, and eliminate legal blockers. This role will help us continue to drive our business forward while enhancing our strategic goals and vision working collaboratively across teams. Here you will also find a welcoming and well rounded team who are interested in working together in a supportive and forthright atmosphere.ABOUT THE ROLE ♀️Working with our team, you will:Act as a legal partner to internal business teams on a variety of topics pertaining to, among other things agreements, compliance, privacy, security, marketing, and financial regulationsProvide strong technical and commercial excellence to identify legal risk and find innovative solutions to any issues that ariseDevelop relationships across our amazing product and growth marketing teamsNegotiate, review, and draft agreementsCollaborate to manage external counselBuild trust and support with business stakeholders and collaborate with them to balance risk against opportunityStay apprised of relevant regulatory developmentABOUT YOU JD degree current admission3+ years of relevant legal experience at a law firm or in-house (with at least 2 years consecutively within one of your recent roles preferred)Strong drafting experienceExperience with a fast-growing startup environment preferredAbility to cover multiple areas of law and learn new areas quicklyAbility to proactively, efficiently, and accurately assess and communicate legal business risks in a fast-paced environmentExperience with any of the following is worth noting when you apply: Digital product counseling, growth and digital marketing, IP, LLMs/AI, or data privacy/security.Track record of creative problem-solving and creation of strong and trusted cross-functional relationshipsProactive personality and eagerness to dig in and learn about the business, the industry, and new areas of the law and applicable regulationsBrings a product focused mindset with a focus on collaborative, integrated problem solving.Experience working with product, marketing, data, and engineering teams to provide actionable counsel or with any form of technology team either as a lawyer or in other career phases is likely to be helpful.WE OFFER Health, Dental Vision PlansLife InsuranceLong/Short Term DisabilityCompetitive Pay401k MatchingTeam Member Stock Purchasing Program (TMSPP)Learning Development OpportunitiesTuition ReimbursementUnlimited PTODaily Lunch, Snacks Coffee (in-office only)Commuter benefits (in-office onlyAdditional information: Salary range of $120,000 - $155,000 + bonus + benefits based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
