This is a remote position. Associate - Communications 1-2 Years of Experience Remote Overview: Rocket Learning’s communications team is searching for a talented and creative individual to join as an Associate with 1-2 years of experience in video editing and graphic design . As a crucial member of our remote team, you will be responsible for producing visually appealing and engaging video content and designing graphics. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in Adobe editing software, Photoshop, Canva, and possess excellent communication skills. Key Results: Enhance Rocket Learning's internal and external communication through proactive and creative strategies Boost audience engagement and recall through captivating storytelling Provide impactful event design support for national and state interventions Establish Rocket Learning as an expert in the ECCE and build a unique brand voice Key Activities: Video Content Production: - Collaborate closely with the team to conceptualize and storyboard videos. - Ensure the content reflects Rocket Learning's mission and impact. - Use engaging visuals and narratives to tell the story effectively. Graphic Design: - Design visually compelling content for social media, websites, newsletters, and events. - Maintain brand consistency in all graphic designs and visual materials. - Experiment with colors, typography, and layouts to keep content fresh. Presentations and Data Visualization: - Present complex information clearly and visually through infographics and slides. - Use graphs, charts, and visual aids to simplify data and highlight key takeaways. - Ensure data visualizations are easy to understand and aligned with the brand’s visual identity. Social Media Management: - Actively monitor and engage with social media followers. - Respond promptly to comments, messages, and inquiries. - Develop strategies for increased engagement and follower growth. 5. Industry Trends: - Stay updated with trends in video production, graphic design, social media, and data visualization. - Implement new tools and strategies to stay competitive and innovative. Areas of responsibility: Designing weekly social media post content, managing and responding to comments on social media Creating 2-3 basic image-rich videos/animated GIFs per week Supporting property/paper/report design as needed Assisting with event collateral as required Continually innovating design and formats for sustained engagement Providing monthly Hootsuite analytical report support to the Sr. Comms Associate Maintaining the press office/media drive Critical Success Factors: Taking ownership of daily tasks and demonstrating a creative mindset focused on continuous improvement Strong collaboration, communication, and time management skills Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and solution-oriented
