Associate Client Advisor
Bessemer Trust is a family office focused on private wealth management, overseeing substantial assets for ultra-high net worth clients. The Associate Client Advisor will develop and maintain client relationships, manage client accounts, and ensure the coordinated delivery of services to individuals and families.ResponsibilitiesHandle routine communication with clients and their advisors via telephone, email and faxDocument written and verbal communication with clients and their advisors in SalesforcePrepare charts and materials for client meeting presentations using Excel, Word, PowerPoint and internal applications as neededConstruct customized spreadsheets for clientsComplete financial paperwork from other institutions for clientsFile correspondence and other documents in internal databasesCreate documentation of client correspondence for tracking purposesAttend and contribute to client meetings and presentationsInterface with clients when questions arise about investment strategy or capital markets outlookPropose and implement investment programs as directed by Client Advisors and Senior Client Advisors using Bessemer applicationsPrepare investment guidelines for client accounts in line with clients' goals and risk toleranceCollaborate with Client Advisors and Senior Client Advisors to proactively monitor asset allocationBuild implication models taking into account spending, taxation, and potential market behavior among other factorsProactively monitor and take action to correct fixed income maturities and client overdrafts based on knowledge and history of the client accountInitiate orders for rebalancing of accountsWork with Client Administration Team to open accounts and coordinate with outside agents the transfer of assets to BessemerAssist in preparation of account opening documentation and account profiles, obtain required approvals, and gather legal documents and tax cost informationPrepare Officers Committee account reportsPerform cash management functions using Workflow and Atlas in accordance with established account procedures and applicable fiduciary laws and policiesProcess client remittances in conjunction with Client Tax DepartmentMonitor and assist in covering overdraftsSupervise and pay client bill paymentsPrepare client presentation packages and reporting on client accountsCoordinate trust reviews with Fiduciary OfficersIn addition to attending all internal training sessions including Basic Trust Administration, the Associate Client Advisor is expected to stay up to date on economic and market trends by: attending corporate communications meetings; conducting independent research; and reviewing relevant legal, tax, financial planning, and trust and estates publicationsAttend continuing education courses on trust administrationAssist in the preparation of Annual Relationship Reviews and Trust Administrative ReviewsSkillsBachelor's degree requiredAnalytical & independent problem solving skillsWritten and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated leadership and teamwork qualitiesSuccessful candidate must be goal-oriented, detailed oriented and a motivated self-starterOrganizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasksProficiency with Microsoft OfficeProven interest in financial markets preferredOne or more years of related business experience preferred (specifically within Wealth Management a plus)Working knowledge of trust administration and fiduciary laws, policies, Regulation-9 and KYC preferredBasic knowledge of trust administration and fiduciary servicesBenefitsIn addition, this position may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unitβs incentive compensation plan, and other compensation programs as applicable.Eligible employees may participate in a 401(k) program with a generous profit-sharing contributionMedical, prescription dental, and vision coverageLife insuranceDisability coveragePaid holidaysVacationSick time, subject to plan terms and Company policiesCompetitive base salary plus discretionary annual bonus for select positionsA 401(k) plan with a generous annual profit-sharing contributionPersonalized development and career opportunities, including tuition reimbursement supportComprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans with zero contributions for employee coverageEmployee assistance (EAP) and wellness programsPaid time off and paid parental leaveEmployer-paid life insurance and short- and long-term disability coverageLegal services and financial wellness plans at no cost to employeesCompany OverviewBessemer Trust is an investment management, wealth planning, and client service.
