Associate Campus Director of Small Groups and Membership - Apex
Summary of Position
The Associate Campus Director of Small Groups and Membership leads the campus strategy for multiplying small groups and membership. This role builds a healthy, multiplying small group environment and ensures a clear and organized process for membership and care. This position assists in serving, and leading the Summit Church in its mission to follow the Holy Spirit in creating a movement of disciple-making disciples in the RDU and around the world.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail
• Self-motivated, humble, and strong desire to research and implement best practices
• Strong ability to communicate the vision of small groups and covenant membership.
• Strong people skills, ability to build multi-cultural relationships, and work well on a team
• Understands and embraces Summit's small group multiplication discipleship model
• Spiritual maturity and history of disciple-making
• Able to organize and run systems
• A member of The Summit Church or willing and able to become a member
Responsibilities
• Small Group Strategy and Leadership
• Implement the campus small groups plan in alignment with Summit's Discipleship model.
• Recruit, train, support, and coach small group leaders to successfully launch and lead new groups.
• Collaborate with campus staff, elders and central small group pastors.
• Execute two campus small group trainings per year and equip group leaders.
• Strategically assess and determine small groups' needs, growth and health.
• Plan and execute Grouplink and ongoing group placement processes.
• Regularly evaluate the health and effectiveness of the campus small group ministry.
• Grows a sustainable structure for the care of our leaders
• Attends monthly Central Support Small Groups meeting
• Membership
• Owns the membership process from Explore the Summit through a signed covenant.
• Ensures new members are welcomed, informed, and connected to community and serving opportunities.
• Care Coordination
• Serve as the primary point of contact for care coordination.
• Build and maintain systems that ensure care happens (even when you're not the direct provider).
Churchwide Events
This is a full-time role with an expected workload of 40 hours per week. As one church in many locations, all staff are expected to serve at church-wide events such as Good Friday, Easter, church-wide prayer meetings, Christmas Services. Serving expectations will be communicated in advance of each event.
