Associate Auto Adjuster

The Associate Auto Adjuster role involves adjusting non-injury auto claims, investigating and settling claims while providing excellent customer service to members.ResponsibilitiesAcquire and apply basic knowledge of auto coverages, auto physical damage, and liability, in order to evaluate and settle high volume and low complexity auto claims such as; simple comprehensive and collision (i.e., single vehicle, parked and unoccupied, clear liability), glass, roadside, and rental vehicle coverages for repairable vehiclesResolve claims through proactive problem solving and decision making, within authority guidelines and under direct supervision, while overcoming obstacles, and effectively prioritizing the workloadClearly document thought process including damage evaluation, investigation, negotiation, and settlement decisionsCollaborate and set expectations with external and internal business partners to facilitate claims resolutionSupport members, business partners, and claimants, through use of varying communication channels to include utilization of digital tools to drive timely and effective resolutions through exceptional serviceAcquire and apply a foundational knowledge of Property and Claims (P&C) insurance industry products, and services, to include P&C insurance policy contracts, coverages and internal claims handling process and proceduresSupport workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response operations as needed, including potential evening, weekends, and/or holiday work outside normal work hoursMay be assigned CAT deployment travel with minimal notice during designated CATsEnsure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and proceduresSkillsHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience or GEDAbility to provide exceptional customer service for our members by communicating clearly and professionally using multiple communication channels to process information related to auto claimsAbility to prioritize and multi-task while navigating through multiple business applicationsSuccessfully acquire an insurance adjuster license and applicable state registrations within 90 days of hireSuccessful completion of a job-related assessment is requiredUS military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partnerBachelor's degreeBenefitsComprehensive medical, dental and vision plans401(k)PensionLife insuranceParental benefitsAdoption assistancePaid time off program with paid holidays plus 16 paid volunteer hoursVarious wellness programsCareer path planning and continuing educationCompany OverviewUSAA is a financial services company.
