Associate-Actuarial/Financial(to CEO), 170k-300k base, bonus plan, equity, remote(U.S.)
Venture Capital firm partnering with property & casualty firms is seeking an Associate level candidate to work hand in hand, provide support at the professional and leadership level to the CEO in all aspects of portfolio and investment management. The qualified candidate for this role that will be successful in this opportunity will be a high end, elite individual contributor, well polished with excellent technical, analytical, financial and executive level communication skills with the willingness to learn and grow. Excellent business acumen who can be a top individual contributor.
Responsible for building sophisticated financial and actuarial models, develop and craft investor-ready presentations and leap into portfolio or financing projects with minimal directions. This role is highly visible with portfolio company executives and board members and will be on a long platform for significant advancement. The ideal candidate will have 4-10 years of broad actuarial experience OR experience in corporate development / strategy at an insurer, reinsurer or broker OR in investment banking, private equity, or consulting with significant P&C insurance exposure. The candidate should have a tremendous work ethic and track record of success, the ability to function equally well in both a team setting and on a self-directed basis. enduring curiosity and the maturity, humility, and competency to increase one’s own knowledge, and excellent mathematical, writing, verbal and computer skills. A deep understanding of P&C insurance is a must. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Accounting, Economics, or related field with strong academic record. High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization tools desirable. 170k-300k base(DOE), bonus plan, benefits package, equity plan, remote.
