The Pennsylvania State University, Penn State Behrend, invites applications for a full-time, one-year replacement position in Mathematics to begin Fall 2023. This position will be at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor, depending on qualifications.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified individual to teach algebra and trigonometry through second-year calculus, commensurate with degree and experience. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mathematics, statistics, or a related quantitative/applied field. Additional duties may include performing scholarly activity, advising and mentoring students, and service to the school and college.
Responsibilities:
Teach mathematics courses, including algebra and trigonometry through second-year calculus
Perform scholarly activity and contribute to the academic community
Advise and mentor students
Participate in service to the school and college
Requirements:
M.S. degree or higher in mathematics, statistics, or a related quantitative/applied field
Strong teaching and communication skills
Ability to promote and advance Penn State Behrend's commitment to teaching, scholarship, and diversity
